Recovery tradeoff, honestly stated: Bitcoin and Zcash payments can be recovered later using the payment transaction id, because those chains are transparent. - Is Monero more private than paying with SOL, ZEC or BTC?
- On the payment itself, yes. Solana, transparent Zcash and Bitcoin addresses are all readable on a public block explorer. Monero's ring signatures, stealth addresses and confidential amounts keep the payment off a public ledger the same way.
- How fast is activation?
- Usually under a minute after the payment reaches enough confirmations.
- What if I lose my subscription link after paying with XMR?
- Save the link when it's issued. There's no txid-based recovery for Monero today (the chain is private by design, so a txid alone doesn't prove you paid). Prefer a recovery path? Pay with SOL instead and recover by signing a message with the same wallet.
